I now have 30 kwh pack but one of the last ones built in 2016 MY and still have new pack stats after 20,000 miles. Looks like 30 kwh packs built in 2015 are not faring nearly as well DaveinOlyWAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16745403231379474738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3022888953328060401.post-60571761396886902972016-07-09T15:56:57.327-07:002016-07-09T15:56:57.327-07:00Agreed; the only thing that matters is getting to ...Agreed; the only thing that matters is getting to where you need to go!DaveinOlyWAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16745403231379474738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3022888953328060401.post-8423396587597758312016-07-09T11:48:09.192-07:002016-07-09T11:48:09.192-07:00I have similar LeafSpy numbers in my 2016 SV. Here are my entries from picking up the car, a low spot after it sat in my garage at 70% while I was away for a week, vs just yesterday:

6/3/16 AHr: 78.645 SOH: 98% L1/L2: 6 QC: 5
6/15/16 AHr: 74.457 SOH: 93% L1/L2: 17 QC: 5
7/8/16 AHr: 74.943 SOH: 95% L1/L2: 47 QC: 9

Just goes to show the internal numbers do fluctuate, and in reality, they are just a software estimation of the battery capacity and charge level. The battery doesn't care what the software concludes, so you have to take it with a grain of salt. The real test is a full charge followed by driving to VLBW, then a full recharge. From that I did will over the rated miles due to much city driving, and the car consumed 28.4 kWh from the wall to recharge. Seems about right.

I suspect the LeafSpy reported numbers for the 30 kWh pack are not directly comparable to the vast experiences people have had with the previous packs. Nobody outside of Nissan really knows what SOH or Hx is intended to represent.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15907236521178106149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3022888953328060401.post-91820883633518928982016-07-06T13:10:29.788-07:002016-07-06T13:10:29.788-07:00Kinda suspect but not really too far out of parame...Kinda suspect but not really too far out of parameters if not using a charging profile designed for distance. Keep in mind, my example inflated my stats over 10% and at least 5-7% above reality. The same can work in reverse. Poor top end balancing will do this. Keep in mind, good top end balancing is only needed if you need every extra mile you can get out of a charge. If you don't have that extreme need, then you are better off staying away from a 100% charge as much as possible. Best for long term is staying between 20 and 90% SOC. problem is the reduction in range is something I cannot do even if I had your extra capacityDaveinOlyWAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16745403231379474738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3022888953328060401.post-88918006627712019882016-07-06T13:05:09.818-07:002016-07-06T13:05:09.818-07:00Ahr SOH Hx L1/L2 QC Gids

Nissan BMS actively balances cells all the time and your best method for longest life is likely keeping your SOC in the middle range between 20 and 80% SOC!DaveinOlyWAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16745403231379474738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3022888953328060401.post-33391822901800052192016-05-01T20:56:35.183-07:002016-05-01T20:56:35.183-07:00Good to know that my lowish AHr/SOH/Hx is likely ...Good to know that my lowish AHr/SOH/Hx is likely a side-effect of never charging to full.
