There is plenty of evidence to me that Nissan deliberately misleads owners as to the range and health of the LEAF. These GoM discussions show this clearly, in my case the GoM started with about 100km range but I know I can only do about 80km. Sure, if I drive unrealistically slow and conservative I can probably get to 100km, but then road rage by other drivers would be a real thing.<br />Then you look at the battery SoH gauge. It is well known that the first bar drops at about 15% loss, and then the rest drop at about 7.5% intervals after that. How is that anything but dishonest? Give the new owner a false sense that everything is going well, then suddenly, and more rapidly, it starts to go downhill.<br />So at least two examples where Nissan is playing the system to their favour and giving false information. GoM shows unrealistic high value in most situations, and SoH holds high value for longer at the start so you don't actually know things are going bad for longer.Jasonnoreply@blogger.com
